Your host, the Taferner Family

A charming, welcoming hotel

Our story began in 1950 …

… when Grandma Zenzi opened the Hotel Post in the centre of Anterselva. In 1966, she handed it over to my father Engl, and he and his wife Fanni (my mother) ran it together for many years. In 2015, the hotel passed to me, Wolfgang. So, the family tradition has already lasted for three generations ... and the fourth is also here in the hotel.

Simple, traditional and welcoming ...

... that's the Hotel Post! Feel at home and enjoy yourself: at breakfast, at the bar and at dinner, when Junior Chef Wolfgang, together with Andrea and Senior Hostess Fanni will delight you with their tasty cooking. In our new dining-room, traditional bar or Tyrolean stube, you can enjoy genuine Tyrolean dumplings, "mezzelune" pasta stuffed with spinach or potatoes (called Schlutzkrapfen) and other local dishes, such as Krapflan and Tirtlan. Fanni's luscious apple strudel is always a popular favourite, made to a mysterious and ancient recipe.

Sun, wellbeing and relaxation

Enjoy all this on our sunny terrace and in our garden. You can top up with warmth and sunshine, but also cool down with fresh water from the famous Salamone spring, known locally as the Hartmannsbrunnen.

Deep relaxation whenever you like …

Enjoy our sauna. It's very welcome if you return from a long walk or a cross-country ski excursion with aching muscles. But it's also an ideal way to recharge your batteries or to forget about the daily grind.

Start out from Anterselva ...

… and conquer the world. Or maybe not quite. There's no doubt that our hotel makes an excellent starting point: you're within easy reach of Lake Anterselva, the biathlon and cross-country ski arena, the Plan de Corones, the Passo Stalle mountain huts and many other lovely spots. The local buses stop right in front of our hotel, and will take you to lots of different places. N.B.: We will give you a Holidaypass card, which allows you free use of public transport throughout South Tyrol.
